Volyn Youth Football School

In 1960 a youth training group was set up alongside the senior «Volyn» side.

• 20 March 2000.The «Femida-Inter» children’s and youth football club was founded; it later became part of the FC Volyn structure. In its first year it enrolled 50 pupils born in 1983–84 and 5 coaches.

• 25 September 2003.«Femida-Inter» was renamed the Volyn Youth Football School — ДЮФШ «Волинь» in Ukrainian.

• From October 2011the Volyn Youth Football School became a separate division of FC Volyn (Lutsk).

The school currently employs 20 coaches and trains more than 350 pupils.

How to join the Volyn Youth Football School

THE WISH

Above all the child must genuinely love football, want to learn to play it better, and understand that the training will ask extra effort of them.

AN INTERVIEW

Boys who have turned 8 can be enrolled in the school. During the interview with the management or the coaches of the relevant age, the group the future pupil will train in is decided.

A TRIAL

In a session with the ball the candidate shows what they can do: juggling, dribbling and so on. The coaches look at how the child works with the ball, moves around the pitch and whether they are physically ready to take part in training.

A MEDICAL CERTIFICATE

Enrolment follows a medical examination. The local paediatrician issues a certificate allowing your child to attend a sports section.

AN APPLICATION

The final step is a written application from the parents stating their wish for the child to study at the football school. Note that tuition is FREE OF CHARGE.
